During this cooking class, Chef Rachel will teach you how to whip up four simple appetizers, so you can throw an elevated happy hour anytime.

From tender steak skewers with chimichurri sauce and bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with blue cheese to baked pecan and honey camembert cheese and goat cheese strawberry shortbread cookies, these small plates are sure to impress everyone. With these in your repertoire, you'll quickly become the favorite party host or hostess among your friends.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Skirt Steak Skewers With Chimichurri Sauce

Marinated in ancho chili butter

Blue Cheese Stuffed Bacon Wrapped Dates

Coated in rosemary brown sugar

Baked Camembert Cheese and Spiced Pecans

With local honey, sea salt, olive oil and raisin crackers

Shortbread Cookies and Fresh Strawberries

With sanding sugar, goat cheese and mint

Champagne Cocktail

Guests provide their own sparkling wine

Chef Rachel is a culinary business owner. She showed me how to make a delicious dessert of gluten free pumpkin snickerdoodle cookies. This dessert is a great alternative for Thanksgiving or really whenever. She was great to learn from and I recommend her experiences!

Insert: "Chef's Kiss" - Chef Rachel is BEYOND! Her smile is infectious, her food is delicious and her passion for what she does is evident in her meals, plating and interactions with her clients. Her menus are always fresh and her spin on healthy food is inventive and approachable. I'd recommend her over and over and over again. If she is ever in your neck of the woods, do NOT MISS OUT on hiring her for your next event!

We were devastated when Rachel left Chicago! She was an incredible chef and we were lucky (and spoiled) to have her and her amazing and healthy food!!! We used Rachel for an important private event and it was flawless (and our guests still talk about the food). During Covid, we ordered food from her every week! Now I just have to convince her to ship us some of her specialties like her Avocado Crema :)

Rachel is an incredible chef and a consummate professional. Her apple and Brie paninis are to die for. I could eat them every day. She also taught me to grill pizza, which is such a great spin on a classic. We now grill pizzas regularly during the summer! We often say we’d rather have Rachel cook for us than go to a restaurant. She’s honestly that talented. And an incredible hostess for a small gathering. We highly recommend signing up for one of her classes or experiences!

I've always loved working with Chef Rachel. Her recipes and meals are delicious and healthy, and her wine recommendations are spot on! She's catered a few dinner parties at my home and she was always very organized, enthusiastic and responsive when planning, and focused on delivering the best food experience for my friends. I love working with Chef Rachel! It's always a great feeling when I'm eating a homemade, healthy meal while also enjoying catching up with my loved ones! Rachel catered a private dinner for a family member's birthday and the whole experience was incredible! The food was absolutely delicious, Rachel was so kind and fun to have at our event and she made us feel very comfortable by offering extra safety measures bc of covid. Definitely hire Chef Rachel for any cooking classes or private events! You will not regret it!!

Rachel is absolutely amazing. Her food is delicious and healthy at the same time. She has cooked everything for us from a private romantic dinner for 2 to a Christmas party with 50+ guests. She has made healthy weekday meals that everyone in my family loves… even my picky eater kids. She is absolutely lovely and so is her food.
